This is open to anyone with office skills and an interest in local affairs who can produce an agenda and take the minutes for meetings, (there are just 5 meetings per year) maintain basic accounting records and keep the website updated.
This person will also need to arrange for occasional payments to be made from parish funds such as insurance and web domain fees. The clerk monitors emails and shares relevant information such as planning with the councillors. This interesting position carries an hourly rate of £12.70 SCP4, which equates to £635 per annum for just a few hours each month, to be paid quarterly.
Training and ongoing support will be given. A good introduction to the basic work of a Parish Clerk.
